This is a large U-shaped construction that formerly served as the governor’s residence, located on a notable site with assertive and rather monumental volumes. The façade design is functional, with two floors marked by bays with 18th century features and a main central veranda. Situated at the south end of Santa Maria Vitória, the elevation known as Plateau, it was built by decision of the Companhia Pombalina do Grão-Pará and Maranhão.
