Fortress
Dubo, Persian Gulf | Red Sea, United Arab Emirates
Military Architecture
As Bocarro explained, the Fortress of Dubo pertained to the defence system for Muscat, as it was one of the alternative land connections and was next to Dibba al Hisn. On the other side of the latter fortress was another called Mocombi. It was also built by order of Rui Freire de Andrade, in 1624 (Dibba al Hisn and Mocombi).
