Religious Architecture
The former Church of the Franciscan Missions, also known as the Building of the Missions or Missionary Residence of the Sisters of Bissau, was built in 1948 with a series of formal elements such as eaves, curved façade and semi-circular arches that fits it into the neo-traditional type of architecture. Dating from 1948, with neo-traditional lines, the building was designed by the architect Mário de Oliveira, who graduated in Oporto in 1947; it was also mentioned as a project by João Simões.
