Portuguese Cultural Centre
Santo António, Príncipe Island, São Tomé e Príncipe
Equipment and Infrastructures
The building had already been used for public services, serving as a prison and school. It was recovered through a project for a cultural centre by the Town Hall of Oeiras (Portugal), within the scope of the municipal gemination with Santo António in 1997 and was inaugurated in 2009. Standing near the city centre, the building used to be an old, singular single-storey construction of modernist design. The project was executed by Pedro Carrilho, Nuno Couto and Gonçalo Pestana of the CMO (Town Hall of Oeiras).
