Equipment and Infrastructures
The Benguela Tobacco Factory buildings are a coherent architectural whole, built to a modernist design by architect Francisco de Castro in 1972-1974. Prominent among this structure are the administration and entrance buildings, the elegant single-storey buildings of stone and concrete with projecting beams supporting a light pre-fabricated roof, which allows good ventilation along with the vertical exterior stone-covered panels.
