Governor’s Palace (former residence of the District Governor)

The Governor’s Palace is a late 19th century building with the so-called colonial verandas and a wide tiled roof. The ground-floor façade is surrounded by a long, sheltered balcony which rests on slender pillars. The central part with two storeys also has a balcony on the same lines – this veranda was later glazed (possibly in the 20th century).
