Religious Architecture

The Church of Our Lady of Fátima, attributed to the architect Lucínio Cruz, follows a compromise style somewhere between the neo-traditional and the modernist, typical of the mid-twentieth century work of this architect; it is a building with three large vertically elongated arches on the frontage (in an attempt at monumentality) with a saddleback roof, a triangular pediment and eaves and an imposing side tower. The stained glass windows in the interior are worthy of note.
