The Church of Saint Anthony has a geometric plan along modern lines and is framed by a huge ogival arch with a total height which exceeds that of the nave. It is in the transitional style of 20th century Portuguese church architecture, mixing traditional and modernist models like its contemporary church of Póvoa de Santa Iria on the outskirts of Lisbon (Portugal).
