The former residence of Silva Porto is located on a tree-lined compound and originally shielded by a palisade, it was restored more than once during the 20th century with minor changes. Although in the simple model characteristic of residential and functional architecture, it is symbolically important. It should be preserved as well as the compound where the statue currently stands, taken from the civic centre.
